XEROX CX Print Server, Powered by CREO for the XEROX DocuColor 7000AP/8000AP Digital Press

The XEROX CX Print Server, Powered by CREO is a robust, on-demand printing solution, designed exclusively to drive the XEROX DocuColor 7000AP/8000AP Digital Press and based on proprietary Print On-Demand Solutions (PODS) technology.

Productivity and Workflow

The CX Print Server, Powered by CREO is an advanced platform supported by CREO Color Server Fusion imaging technology, which ensures maximum power and robust capabilities at an affordable price. The high-speed RIP, flexible workflow tools, and powerful job management features (such as job batching and Rush Job) improve the overall performance and productivity of the system. The Ready-to-Print (RTP) file format facilitates last-minute corrections (no RIP required).

Image Quality and Color Management

The CX Print Server, a CREO Color Server, offers consistent, high-quality color output combined with professional color management and color matching tools. Adjust and refine the image quality without returning to the original application for re-RIP.

Connectivity

The CX Print Server facilitates plug-and-play connections and the implementation of JDF-supported systems. This translates to reduced costs, error-free, streamlined workflows, and improved quality. The server supports a unique and seamless connection – especially designed for commercial printers – with workflow management systems. It enables users to define job parameters and apply imposition settings on the management system for digital jobs sent through the server. The server supports the XEROX FREEFLOW Print Manager.

Document Printing

Document printing covers the entire process of printing fully collated documents on mixed media and sending them to in-line or offline finishing devices. With the CX Print Server, printing covers, tabs, inserts, slip sheets, admin pages, or other page exception rules is straightforward and fast. The server connects to all the printer’s finishing devices for inline finishing. It also supports document printing features for variable data files with dynamic page exception commands.
